Therapist who is a Veteran. Therapist who served.

Hey there! I’m glad you’re seeking meaningful change!

A little about me (open book)

I’m a Xennial mom and clinical social worker/therapist, married nearly 20 years to my Air Force sweetheart. I’m a Texas transplant and third-generation Veteran (10 years in the Air Force). My values matter deeply to me. I believe we all deserve a life aligned with what we actually care about-not just one we’re surviving.

I’ve experienced systems that lead to trauma and burnout-the kind that leaves you exhausted and unsure how to keep carrying so much. Aligning my own life with my values has taken real work. It’s been hard, but deeply worthwhile and human work.

Being a therapist has always felt like living my purpose. I value working with people willing to show up and do the honest work therapy requires. Holding space for someone’s story is a responsibility I don’t take lightly.

Therapy works best in relationships that feel safe, authentic, and grounded. I believe clients bring their own wisdom and strengths into the process, and research consistently shows that a strong client-therapist fit matters.

Approach/Clinical Stuff ;)

I work to help my clients realize their existing strengths, set goals that align with their own values and create a meaningful life. Therapy is a relationship and collaboration where the focus is growth not perfection or optimization. It is absolutely not about learning to “push through”. My work focuses on helping clients identify their strengths, clarify their values, and build lives that feel meaningful.

My approach is interpersonal and trauma-informed. It has been shaped by more than 20 years working in mental health across community, Department of Defense, and VA settings.

Frameworks I commonly draw from include: ~Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) ~Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) ~Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) ~Somatic and body-based approaches

I am licensed in Texas (#66113) and provide council-approved clinical supervision to LMSWs (associate Social Workers).

In Between Sessions

Outside of work I’m usually with my two elementary-aged kids, trying a new coffee shop or restaurant (#foodie), or squeezing in a day date with my husband. I love early bedtimes and early mornings.

I go to the movies enough to have free-popcorn status at one theater, which I consider a major life accomplishment. ;) I enjoy stand-up comedy and outdoor walks (when it’s not a million degrees), and I value staying connected with family and friends.
